This is my very first wood working project. An apple shaped cutting board I made for my mom when I was 8 years old. My mom still uses this cutting board.

3 foot tall fork and spoon pieces I made for my cousin's family. His wife is from the Philippines and she wanted this traditional decoration in their house. I carved the tiki figures by hand and engraved the flag of the Philippines with an engraving tool.

I made this hand-cut piece for my cousin's baby room. It was quite a challenge to get that swoopy font just right on such a big piece, but my cousin was psyched.

I made some wooden sunglasses just to see if I could do it. They aren't my everyday sunglasses, but they work fairly well and it was a super fun project.

These are custom made British Columbia and Cape Cod keychains. They are hand cut on the scroll saw and filled with clear resin for extra strength. I just love the way zebra wood looks on small stuff like this.

Custom cribbage board I made for my uncle. It's got a magnetic bottom with storage for cards and pegs. "That's a go" as they say in the game.

This is one of the first detailed ornaments I made. It was a present for my mom a few years ago. I think I've improved my technique since then.

My daughter wanted to be She-ra for Halloween so we made her this awesome sword out of a pine board. I cut the sword and engraved the lines and she did the painting and attached the gem (with a little help from mom).
New cheese board made with walnut, maple, izombe, spalted hackberry, and purple heart. My daughter made the "Dad's wood" sign. She wants to go door to door to ask our neighbors if they want to buy one. I'm hiring her as my new marketing director.

Custom maple and purple heart cutting board I made for my brother. It has a plate notch so you can slide the food you cut right onto a plate.
This is a custom wine box with a walnut lid and inlay done by hand on the scroll saw. Super meticulous details like that take time, but are incredibly gratifying.

My daughter and I made this dragonfly magnet intarsia style with multiple pieces of walnut. We burned the wing lines by hand.
My son thought my cake knives needed a little extra pop so he came up with the "cake machete." It cuts cake super great and looks nice on display by some cutting boards too.
This is a monstara leaf-shaped charcuterie board with walnut for the stem and lines, cherry for the leaf, and resin for the holes.
Cherry wood made a perfect background for this laser burned tool ornament I designed. The holes are cut out on the scroll saw so it doesn't have burn marks.

You can always count on mom to save your art projects. These are hand-carved holiday figures and ornaments from 2007. It's fun to look back and see how different I do things now.
